A new champion will be crowned Tuesday.

Football pro Jacoby Jones, Olympian Alexandra Raisman, singer Kellie Pickler and 16-year-old Disney Channel star Zendaya each did three dances on Monday's episode of the ABC competition.

Zendaya was perfect in the judges' eyes, earning the maximum score for each routine.

``You've only just scratched the surface of your talent,'' head judge Len Goodman said.

Pickler was a close second, collecting perfect 10s for her quickstep and freestyle dances, but finishing behind Zendaya in the cha-cha relay, which saw all four finalists perform to the same song.

Pickler's freestyle brought judge Carrie Ann Inaba to tears.

``You just bared your soul on the dance floor and it was one of the most beautiful things I have ever seen,'' Inaba said.

Raisman finished third after wowing the judges with a freestyle routine that incorporated gymnastics and stunts on vertical bars. Jones landed in last place, falling short on his action-packed freestyle that Inaba said distracted from his dancing.

Viewers were given until 11 a.m. EDT Tuesday to cast votes on Facebook. The show's hosts, Tom Bergeron and Brooke Burke-Charvet, said ABC's online voting system was down Monday night.

Each contestant will perform one last dance during Tuesday's season finale to add points to their totals. Judges' scores combined with viewer votes will determine the new champion.

The New York based author beat off competition from the nine other authors who made the shortlist to win the award, which honours "achievement in fiction on the world stage".

While Davis writes conventional short stories, others consist of just one paragraph or sentence.

One of these stories, A Double Negative, reads: "At a certain point in her life, she realises it is not so much that she wants to have a child as that she does not want not to have a child, or not to have had a child."

The #60,000 ($90,000, 70,000 euros) prize is presented every two years and is awarded to a living author for work published originally in English or available in translation in English.

MADRID: Manuel Pellegrini, strongly linked to the vacant Manchester City post, is leaving Malaga at the end of the season, the Chilean announced on Wednesday.

"Professionally, I am living my last hours in Malaga," he said at a function to mark his achievements with the club in a report carried by Spanish Sports daily AS.

He added: "On Sunday I will manage my last game as Malaga coach at La Rosaleda. "It will be a very emotional occasion and we hope to leave with the club qualified for Europe, with the mission completed and with the misfortune that the project changed. "The agreement with the club has been gratifying and satisfactory. Everyone has the right to continue on their on path. "I am not looking for economic ambitions but a sporting project that allows me to feel fulfilled."

Pellegrini has been a reported long-term target for City, having previously won plaudits for his work at two other Spanish clubs in Real Madrid and Villarreal.

The plum City job is available following Roberto Mancini's sacking last week.

Pellegrini, who has been in charge of Malaga since November 2010, guided the club to their highest ever league finish last season as Los Boquerones qualified for the Champions League for the first time.

And despite financial problems that forced them to sell a number of key players before the start of the this season, Pellegrini's men remarkably reached the quarter-finals of Europe's premier club competition, only just missing out on the semi-finals after conceding two controversial late goals against Borussia Dortmund.
